UV Resistant Wrap Around Split Braided Cable Sleeve

MJ FLEX UV Resistant Wrap Around Split Braided Cable Sleeve is designed to protect wires and cable bundles exposed to sunlight and outdoor environments.
Made from UV-stabilized PET monofilament and multifilament yarns, this flexible wrap around cable sleeve features a self-wrapping split structure that allows easy installation without disconnecting wires or connectors.
The material has successfully completed a 1,000-hour xenon-arc weathering test according to ISO 4892-2, demonstrating excellent flexibility and mechanical-property retention with no visible cracking or embrittlement.

Standard PET split sleeving may gradually fade, harden or lose flexibility after prolonged exposure to sunlight.
SBW-PET-UV uses a UV-stabilized PET formulation to improve resistance to ultraviolet radiation while maintaining the flexibility, abrasion resistance and easy installation of conventional wrap around braided cable sleeving.
Its openable design makes it particularly suitable for outdoor wire harnesses that cannot use closed braided sleeving because of large connectors, branches or maintenance requirements.

ISO 4892-2 UV Test Results


The UV-stabilized PET material was tested under xenon-arc light exposure to evaluate its resistance to simulated sunlight, heat and moisture.

The results show that the material maintains good flexibility and mechanical performance after prolonged artificial weathering exposure.
Accelerated weathering results are intended for material comparison and do not represent an exact outdoor service life.

Yes. It is manufactured from UV-stabilized PET and has completed a 1,000-hour test according to ISO 4892-2.


2.What is the difference between wrap around sleeving and expandable braided sleeving?
Wrap around sleeving has a longitudinal split and can be installed over existing cable bundles. Closed expandable braided sleeving requires the wires or connectors to pass through the sleeve.

3.Can it be installed without disconnecting the cables?
Yes. The split, self-wrapping construction allows the sleeve to be installed without removing connectors or terminals.

4.Can cables enter or exit from the middle of the sleeve?
Yes. Individual wires and branches can enter or exit at almost any position along the sleeve.

5.Is the sleeve waterproof?
No. Its braided and split construction provides UV, abrasion and mechanical protection but does not form a waterproof seal.

Black is recommended because properly formulated black PET generally provides better UV resistance than lighter colors.

7.Can UV resistance and flame retardancy be combined?
